Our Story
Timber Reflections is a small business where the enjoyment in the entire process of making wood home furnishings is found. What sets us apart from others, is that each product sold here started as a fallen or diseased tree on our family farm. The log is harvested and brought to the "log yard," awaiting its turn on the sawmill. The smaller branches of the tree are not wasted, but cut up into firewood to heat the family home.
Once a log is milled, it is air-dried and then kiln-dried. David has built a solar powered kiln to effectively dry each slab of wood so that quality, lasting furnishings can be made from it. And that is what we aim to make - something that you treasure in your home and can be passed along to future generations. Something beautiful, unique and lasting.
David's interest in woodworking was first realized in a high school wood shop class. His talents remained mostly hidden until a number of years later, when he built his first piece of furniture, a toy storage unit. He soon continued on, building a complete bedroom set and other furniture for his home. He added new skills and techniques along the way, continuing to try new things. His products are one-of-a-kind, not only because of the nature of the wood he is using, but also because he enjoys changing and trying new ideas. Didn't find what you are looking for?
